NASCAR heads to a short track this week at Bristol for its first true short track race of the season.
Potential Dominators:
Christian Eckes
Ty Majeski
Kyle Busch
Eckes was the fastest truck in practice and got the pole as well. I expect him to lead early and often as I think he has the best truck tonight. Majeski is another that was fast in practice and should be a top contender tonight as well. Kyle Busch is hard to bet against in the Truck series, but I think it will be difficult for him to payoff his high salary tonight. He should run top 5 and is still usable, but I don’t think he ends up optimal tonight. Nick Sanchez is a flier potential lap leader starting 2nd.
Place Differential:
Corey Heim
Grant Enfinger
Ben Rhodes
Layne Riggs
Matt Crafton
Tanner Gray
Heim is another top option tonight but starts further back so you don’t need a ton of laps led from him. He is a good choice to run up front and contend. Enfinger and Rhodes had solid speed and have some room to move forward from their starting spots. They are solid place differential plays. Riggs has a huge place differential potential but struggled in practice. He is in good equipment, so he is still a solid choice. Crafton and Gray have top 10 potential giving them a good amount of place differential potential as well.
Cheap Options:
Dean Thompson
Bayley Currey
Matt Mills
Timmy Hill
Lawless Alan
Thompson has shown speed this season but hasn’t had the results. He should have top 15 potential again tonight. Currey was good in practice with top 10 speeds, he could be lower owned with his starting spot, but I still think he can finish top 10 and be a solid pick. Mills is another top 15 contender making him a good value. Hill and Alan are solid flier plays that start towards the back.
