NASCAR Truck Series Texas DFS Picks

NASCAR heads back to a 1.5 mile track again this week for all 3 series at Texas Motor Speedway. The truck series races tonight under the lights and Kyle Busch coming down from the Cup Series is the heavy favorite. We should have a good race as the regulars will battle him to try to get the victory.

POTENTIAL DOMINATORS

Kyle Busch

Rajah Caruth

Corey Heim

Nick Sanchez

Kyle Busch is the heavy favorite in any truck race he is in, and this week is not any different. He has a high salary on Draftkings so paying off his salary will be difficult. He also has not been as dominant this year as he has been in the past. Rajah Caruth won the other race at a 1.5 mile track earlier this season and looked fast in practice, I think he is a great option tonight especially at his salary. Heim is a threat every week and he was fast again in practice, and he will be a top contender again this week. Sanchez went out and got the pole for tonight at the track he had one of the best trucks at last season. I expect him to lead some at the start and run in the top 5 throughout the race.

PLACE DIFFERENTIAL PLAYS

Tyler Ankrum

Tanner Gray

Matt Crafton

Taylor Gray

Tyler Ankrum wrecked in practice and starts at the back tonight. He will have a bunch of place differential potential to move forward but his truck will be a bit of an unknown. Tanner Gray also wrecked in practice, so he did not get to qualify either. He is a risky play as he has no laps on this truck and it may not be very good in the race, however starting last still gives him some place differential potential. Crafton has not qualified well recently but he is always a threat to get a top 10. Taylor Gray was fast in practice, and I expect him to have a good night, I think he has top 5 potential this week.

CHEAP OPTIONS

Dean Thompson

Jake Garcia

Matt Mills

Stefan Parsons

Thompson has shown a good amount of speed at certain tracks and 1.5 mile tracks are usually his best. He looked solid in practice and should move forward. Garcia is another that has been good on these track types in his career in the truck series although he has struggled recently, he should be a solid pick. Parsons has some good results this season and is a good value for his salary again this week. Matt Mills is in solid equipment and should be able to run around the top 20 with upside for more. Any further down on the salary from these drivers you get concerned with their speed and going laps down. Bret Holmes and Timmy Hill would be flier plays if needed tonight.
