NFL TNF Jets-Patriots Showdown DFS Picks

We have the Jets and Patriots kicking off week 3 in a Thursday Night Matchup tonight on Prime. The Draftkings captain showdown contest tonight has $500k to 1st with a $15 entry fee.

Captain Options

Garrett Wilson

Breece Hall

This is likely a spot where you will need to pay up for a captain tonight as I don't see too many lower priced options that can go off and score what is needed for the captain spot. I like Garrett Wilson in this game as I think he will be the dominate option for Aaron Rodgers tonight. I like Wilson to get a TD tonight and we saw the Seahawks No. 1 WR DK Metcalf go off against the Patriots defense last week.

The other top option I see for tonight is the Jets RB Breece Hall. I expect the Jets to be ahead in the game for most of it so they could run the ball a lot tonight. Hall also gets involved in the pass game a good amount so he is mostly likely going to be one of the top point scorers tonight.

Hunter Henry

This may not be a very high scoring game tonight but if I pick one QB that could be solid tonight it would be Rodgers. He could get a few TD passes and be a solid option for DFS. He especially would be good to pair with Wilson at the captain spot oif you are going that direction.

Stevenson has been the one consistent option on the Patriots this season and should have high usage again tonight. He is their clear No. 1 option and if the Patriots stay in this game he is going to need to be good tonight. He should be a good option for DFS.

Henry has been Brissett's favorite option so far this season as he leads the team in targets. We could see the WRs get more involved tonight but Henry is still a solid choice and Brissett is going to still look his way.

It is a bit of a throw things at the wall and see what sticks type of night for cheap options for the game tonight. First, I think the Kickers are definitely in play tonight, as I would not be surprised to see a lot of FGs in this game and not a ton of skill position players scoring a high amount of points.

Antonio Gibson is a cheap play that I like tonight as he should get a handful of carries and is a good pass catcher out of the backfield. If the Patriots get behind he could be in the game more than he has the last two weeks to be a pass catcher out of the backfield.

The biggest question marks in this game is the Patriots WRs and who will be the favorable options for Brissett. Draftkings also didn't know what to do with them as they are all priced next to eat other. Douglas, Polk, and Osborn are all viable cheap options tonight but it is difficult to decide who the best option will be. The Patriots said they want to get Douglas more involved after last week so he may get some designed plays this week. Osborn was on the field for the most snaps last week so I would probably rank Douglas and Osborn slightly ahead of the other WRs this week.
