The NASCAR Truck Series is in Bristol tonight for some weeknight short track racing. This is their second race of their playoffs and we should be in for some good racing in the 200 lap race tonight. There was no traction put down for this weekend so the track will be a little bit different and may make us see some different racing.
Potential Dominators
Christian Eckes
Corey Heim
Nick Sanchez
Connor Zilisch
Eckes has been one of the best Trucks at Bristol over the last two races here to put it lightly. He has an average running position of first in those races and won the race here earlier this year. He is going to be a top options and will be one of the top contenders to lead laps and win the race. Heim is another driver that should be good for the race tonight. He has been one of the best cars all season and won this race last season under the lights. He should be a contender running up front throughout the race at Bristol. Sanchez was fast in practice and should be one of the drivers that can potentially beat the guys like Eckes and Heim. He has the best 5 lap average in practice and has had speed here in the last few races at Bristol. Zilisch might be the best young NASCAR prospect to come through the rankings in many years after his win last week in Xfinity in his first start. He went out in truck qualifying and got the pole so I am not counting him out tonight. He is in top equipment and should have the chance to lead early and be a contender tonight.
Place Differential Plays
Layne Riggs
Grant Enfinger
Ty Majeski
Ben Rhodes
Taylor Gray
Riggs got his first win last race for the Truck Series and he is trying to keep that momentum this week. He was fastest in 10 and 15 lap averages in practice and has been great on short tracks this season so he should be a good option to move towards the front and have top 5 potential. Enfinger was another that had speed in practice and runs well on the short tracks. He didn't have the best qualifying run as he starts so he has some room to move forward and be a solid option for tonight. Majeski really struggled in practice and did not do great in qualifying either. He is usually great on short tracks and Bristol so there is some concern there. He starts back in 19th so if he can get the handling under control he could be a good place differential option. Majeski's teammate Ben Rhodes wasn't great in practice either but starts way back in 25th giving him big place differential potential for a driver that can run in the top 10. Gray has had some good runs of late and had top 10 speed in practice. He starts in 16th so he has some room to move forward.
Cheap Options
Kaden Honeycutt
Jake Garcia
Bayley Currey
Matt Mills
Honeycutt had a mechanical issue in practice so he did not qualify and will start dead last. He will be a top option as he usually has top 10 upside this season and will have huge place differential potential tonight. Garcia had good speed in practice with top 15 lap averages. He starts back in 21st and has run top 15 at Bristol in previous races so he should be a good option for the race. Currey has an 11th and 13th place finish the last two races at Bristol in the Truck Series. He should have that kind of upside this tonight but with him starting 26th, he has some place differential even if he just runs top 20.
Mills is a flier play as he starts in 30th and hopefully he can get to the top 20 by the end of the race.
