Truck Series Kansas DFS Picks

The NASCAR Truck Series heads to the middle of the country this week to the 1.5 mile Kansas track. Its been a while since we have been to a standard 1.5 mile track but the Truck series did race here earlier this season in the Spring. We are probably looking at 1 or 2 main dominators tonight in your lineups.

Potential Dominators

Christian Eckes

Nick Sanchez

Ty Majeski

Eckes is a top option week in and week out in the truck series and I don't expect this week to be much different. He didn't show up great on the lap averages speed chart but I expect him to still run up front and be a top contender again. He won this race one year ago and should have a chance to do it again this week. Sanchez was the fastest driver on 5 and 10 lap averages in practice. He runs well on 1.5 mile tracks generally and I think he will be a great option for tonight. Especially with some of the top drivers starting farther back he could lead a chunk of laps tonight. Majeski went out and got the pole in qualifying so he will have the chance to lead early. He was solid in practice so he should be able to get out front it will just depend how long he will be in the lead and what other drivers might have a better truck to be able to get by him as the race goes on.

Place Differential Plays

Corey Heim

Grant Enfinger

Tanner Gray

Matt Crafton

Chase Purdy

Heim will be a very high owned driver tonight as he had an issue in practice and did not qualify. Assuming they get the issue fixed for the race, he should be one of the fastest trucks as he won this race earlier this year and is starting in the back. He has huge place differential potential as he should be a top contender for the race and battle for the win if he makes his way through the field safely. Enfinger liked his truck in long run race trim and has some place differential starting back in 19th. He should move forward and is a great option to run top 5 and potentially contend at the end of the race. Gray finished 7th here in the spring and has had some top 10 runs on 1.5 mile tracks this season. I think he can move forward and have solid top 10 potential tonight. Crafton did not have good speed in qualifying as he starts back in 26th. I expect him to race a lot better and should have top 15 potential for the race making him a solid place differential play. Purdy was 2nd on the 10 lap averages in practice and has had speed here at Kansas earlier this season. I expect him to battle for a top 10 and be a solid value play that is likely to be lower owned than he should be.

Rajah Caruth and Taylor Gray are solid options as well that usually run better than they are starting tonight, I am only concerned that they have pretty high salaries and may need to have great trucks to be top options.

Cheap Options

Corey Day

Bayley Currey

Timmy Hill

There are limited cheap option in my opinion tonight so getting the right ones will be important. Day isn't an obvious choice starting 18th but he was solid in practice and has a lot of talent. This is his second start but if he can get a good run and stay out of trouble i would not be surprised if he can get a top 15. Currey has been an up and down option this season but I think he could have a good run tonight. He finished 11th here in the spring and had top 15 speed in practice so if he can back that up in the race he should be a great cheap option tonight. Timmy Hill starts way back in 30th and should have better speed than a handful of trucks starting ahead of him. He should gain some spots and if we get some wrecks he could be a great option.
