Xfinity Series Darlington DFS Plays

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is in Darlington this week for what should be a great race as the Xfinity Series have had some of their best finishes in recent years at this track. Darlington is a high tire wear track so fresh tires and saving tires on the long runs will be a huge part of the race. We have quite a few Cup drivers coming down to run this race as well so there will be a variety of drivers that should have a chance to run well this week.

Potential Dominators

Christopher Bell

Austin Hill

Bell in one of his few Xfinity races this season will be a top options and one of the biggest threats to lead laps and win the race. He is in top Gibbs equipment and is one of the favorites coming into the race. He starts on pole and is likely to lead at the start of the race and will be hard to beat making him a top DFS option. Hill was one of the best cars in practice and has been a consistent top 5 car in recent races at Darlington. He is one of the few top drivers starting at the front today and should be a threat to contend for the win in today's race. A lot of the other top drivers that I expect to be threats today start mid pack so I think Bell and Hill are on the short list of drivers that start up front that can lead laps and contend today.

Place Differential

Justin Allgaier

Cole Custer

Chase Elliott

Jesse Love

Noah Gragson

Carson Kvapil

Allgaier is great at Darlington and has been one of the fastest drivers consistently in recent years coming to this track. He qualified mid pack but he shouldbe great on the long run today. He won at Darlington earlier this season and he should be a top contender today. Custer and Love are two others that start mid pack that should be able to move forward. I am not sure they will contend for the win but they should run top 10 and have upside to run in the top 5. Elliott had a flat tire in practice so he wasn't sure what he has in his car. I would expect him to get to the front and be a contender today. Gragson is one of the Cup drivers this week running the Xfinity race and he qualified back in 29th. He has a lot of room to move forward even though he isnt in a top equipment car. He should run in the top 15 and have potential for a top 10 making him a solid value. Kvapil is another that has some good runs in the Xfinity Series this season and starts back in 27th. That is a lot of place differential potential if he can find his way through the field and get a top 10 which is what that can usually has the potential to do. There are a lot of place differential plays today so pairing some of these guys with Bell or Hill who start up front is likely a good strategy.

Cheap Options

Shane Van Gisbergen

Brennan Poole

Kyle Weatherman

Leland Honeyman

SVG is a bit of a risk today as this is a very difficult track to get accustom to but he finished 15th here in the spring and should be able to run top 20 again. Starting 26th that gives him some solid place differential potential. I really like Poole for a value play today as a lot of the cheap drivers I don't have a lot of confidence in. But Poole has some decent runs here and finished top 20 in the Spring. Weatherman is a bit of a risk starting 19th but he is consistently one of the better cheap drivers and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a top 15 at Darlington today. Some flier plays today are Blaine Perkins and Leland Honeyman since they start way in the back and have the place differential potential. They are usable if you need to fit in some more expensive drivers.
