Xfinity Series Homestead DFS Picks

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is in Homestead this week for another race on a 1.5 mile track as we continue on the early stretch of the season. Homestead is a high tire wear track so taking care of your tires on the long runs is going to be a big factor throughout the race today. Homestead produces some of the best racing on the schedule with multiple grooves and big runs being produced from running right against the wall. Kyle Larson is in today's race as he continues his quest for the weekend sweep after winning last night's truck race.

Potential Dominators

Kyle Larson

Justin Allgaier

Sheldon Creed

Austin Hill

As I mentioned Kyle Larson is in the field today and will be the car to beat throughout the stages as Homestead is one of his best tracks in any series. He had the speed in practice and will be one of the top options for DFS even at his high salary and starting back in 17th. Allgaier is another driver that is really good at Homestead and high tire wear tracks. He was one of the fastest in practice and starts in 4th so I expect him to get to the lead early in the race as he starts ahead of some of the other main contenders. Creed is in the car that has been one of the fastest at Homestead over the last few years with Cole Custer behind the wheel. Creed showed speed himself in practice with top 3 speed in 10 and 15 lap averages and I expect him to be a contender throughout the day. Last years winner at Homestead was Austin Hill and he was happy with his car in practice. He had top 5 speed but starts back in 21st so he has a lot of room to move forward. He should get to the front and have a chance to lead laps and win the race today as well.

Place Differential Plays

Brandon Jones

Corey Heim

Jesse Love

Jones had an oil leak after practice so he did not get a qualifying lap in so he will be starting at the back today. He has huge place differential potential and will be highly owned because of it. He should have top 15 potential and is a great option for this DFS slate. Heim didn't make a long run in practice and he qualified back in 31st so he has a lot of room to move forward. He was one of the best in the truck race last night so he should be more comfortable than some others in the race today and have top 20 potential with upside for more. Love starts mid pack in 20th but he should be able to move forward and run in the top 10 today. His teammate Hill didn't qualify well either but I expect both to race well and be solid options for the race.

Cheap Options

Anthony Alfredo

Daniel Dye

Jeremy Clements

Leland Honeyman

Alfredo showed a lot of speed in practice as he was 8th in 10 lap averages and was 6th in 15 lap averages. He missed his line a bit in qualifying and start back in 25th so he has room to move forward and should be a great cheap option this week. Dye had a spin in practice and seemed to be cautious in qualifying as he starts back in 30th. But he should race a lot better and have a good amount of place differential in the race. Clements was happy with his car in practice and had solid speed in the session as well with top 15 speed. I think this could be a week he has a solid run and could be a good pick for DFS starting in 22nd. Honeyman is one of the cheaper flier plays this week as he had solid times in practice compared to some of the other back markers. Starting 33rd gives him some room to move forward and should have close to top 25 potential for the race.

Tournament Plays

Ryan Sieg

Sieg has been great on 1.5 mile tracks in the last year and has continued into this season. He was fast in practice and I would not be shocked to see him run in the top 5. He starts in the top 10 so he doesn't have much place differential potential but he could be a good tournament play today.
